PAS News for September & October…
Back to school has started with a BANG!
It is always a brilliant time of the year heading back into schools after the Summer break and with it also being the start of a new academic year. We have been very busy starting our PE sessions, lunch-time clubs and promoting our after school clubs with a number of assemblies. With this we have seen a good response to our after school clubs with many fully subscribed. Our leading clubs however are St. Anne’s Primary School in Buxton with 44 children participating and St. Pauls Primary School in Poynton with 45 children taking part! It really is great to see so many children doing extra sport in their own time.

Weekend & Evening Clubs on the up…
It has been great to see so many children attending our Weekend and Evening Clubs. With new trophies and a new prize scheme, plus the offer of your first session free, many children have been taking part either on a Saturday morning, Sunday morning or Monday night. Our Glossop Weekend Clubs which run every Saturday and Sunday morning from St. Margaret’s Primary School, teach children Soccer and Multi-Sports from 10.00am until 12.00pm. We also have our popular Chapel Weekend Club running from Chapel Leisure Centre again from 10.00am until 12.00pm each Sunday morning. Many parents drop off their children giving them an hour or so to do a quick shop or perhaps grab a coffee with friends, before returning to club to catch some of the action. This said we do have a good number of parents who like to stay and encourage the children throughout the session.
Our Monday night club is also running well at the moment, with many young budding footballers attending the hour session. This club runs again from St. Margaret’s Primary School from 6.00pm until 7.00pm and attracts a mix of new footballers to footballers who already play for teams etc. It is a great way to improve your skills and get an extra hour of top quality coaching.
Remember that all these clubs run on a ‘pay as you play’ basis, so you can simply turn up, register and play… Awesome!
JungleFit is back!
We are pleased to have started our new JungleFit block, with sessions Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 4.00pm until 4.45pm at CrossFit Buxton. With a variety of fun games and activities, plus the chance to learn new skills and take part in a series of WODs (workout of the day), this latest block really does look like it’s going to be great fun!
We do have a couple of spaces available on certain days so feel free to contact me if you require more information or would like to book a place. Finally you can find our more about this programme from our webpage – http://www.pas.uk.com/junglefit/
