PAS News for May & June…

Some great weather at last…

We’ve had a fantastic couple of weeks at PAS as the sun has been shinning on the majority of our sessions. Lovely weather makes such a big difference when coaching sport, and also participating in it, as everyone is much more relaxed and can just enjoy the activities on offer. Let’s hope this sunny, dry and warmish spell continues and it’s not just a flash in the pan… Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

A super start to the summer term…

To co-inside with this nice weather, we’ve seen an increase in participation numbers at nearly all our school based after school clubs. It’s brilliant to see so many children taking part and enjoying their sport. There is probably no better time to put your football boots on or pick up that tennis racket, as playing sport during the summer months is definitely inspiring.

One thing to look forward to is our MEGA kids raffle, where we will be pulling 3 names out of the hat to win 3 cracking prizes. The 3 lucky winners will each receive an unlimited PAS voucher, enabling them to take part in any PAS activity for free! Vouchers will last for 12 months and we will be doing the draw after the half-term break… Good luck to all children who are participating in our after school clubs and are therefore, in it to win it!

Whit Holiday/Adventure Camps coming soon…

It seems a while away, but in just over two weeks we have half-term! In many cases the half-term is just 4 days due to the Bank Holiday Monday, so we have various Camps starting on Tuesday 31st May. Our Holiday Camps, which are specifically ‘Soccer & Multi-Sport’ based, are once again in Glossop, Buxton and Chapel. Each of our Holiday Camp venues are brilliant for accommodating the activities on offer, and should the weather turn, boast perfect facilities for indoor play. Without a shadow of a doubt, the sports hall at St. Thomas More is fantastic for this, but we will aim to get outside on the playground whenever possible. We will also aim to be on the playing fields at both St. Margaret’s Primary School (Glossop Camp venue) and Chapel Primary School (Chapel Camp venue). For more information about our Holiday Camps, please click on the link – http://www.pas.uk.com/holiday-camps/

In addition to our Holiday Camps, we also have 4 days of Adventure Camp activities. Activities during the week consist of Bushcraft activities, Flat Water Canoeing, Mountain Biking, Problem Solving, Obstacle Course challenges, High and Low Ropes Course challenges and Zip Wire fun. All in all it will be an absolutely fabulous few days and a brilliant adventure for the kids. Remember that you can pick and choose your days, but booking is highly recommended due to limited places. Don’t forget we are now offering a 10% discount for all online bookings! This will mean if you pre-book on any of our Holiday or Adventure Camps and use PROMO10 on our Online Booking System you will get 10% off the price. Our ‘on the day’ prices remain the same, so please pre-book to qualify for this discount. In addition, we have also increased our sibling discount to 20%. Simply contact the office to obtain the sibling discount code.

It’s PARTY season…

The demand for our popular birthday parties has reached a new high, with nearly one party every single weekend, this includes both Saturday and Sunday. We still have a few weekends free, but are taking one or two bookings each week, so if you are thinking of having a PAS party for your son/daughter then please contact me as soon as you can. As well as our PAS parties, we have various other weekend events coming up. This weekend sees our mascot ‘PAS Man’ and some of our team visit the Hayfield Carnival, plus we have a football festival event with Hollinhey Primary School in Macclesfield. We also have the Glossop North End Juniors football tournament next weekend to participate in. Both events will see our Speed Cage Challenge in operation, with will give everyone the chance to test the speed of their shots!

It won’t be long until the Chapel and Buxton Carnivals, in which PAS Man and the team will be attending and therefore giving out various goodies to the kids. Over the years we’ve handed out frisbees, water bottles and other great gifts. This summer we have fridge magnets and France EURO 2016 merchandise to give away… We just can’t wait to get involved with the party atmosphere!

Other PAS activities…

We’re coming to the end of our recent block of ‘Little Sports Stars’ sessions, where all the young children have been little superstars! The enjoyment and progression shown has been excellent to see and hopefully this will continue as they get older. Our other specific programme, ‘JungleFit’, re-starts again next week and all sessions, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are once again fully subscribed. Places do come available on both of these activities, but I would consider registering your interest if this is something you would like your child to be a part of. For more information about our Little Sports Stars programme, please click here – http://www.pas.uk.com/little-sports-stars/ – and for information about our JungleFit activities, again please click here – http://www.pas.uk.com/junglefit/

Congratulations to our winners…

Just a quick mention to our ‘Employee of the month’ winners so far this year. January’s winner was coach Megan, coach Jonny won our February award, coach Tiegan scooped the award for March, and most recently April’s award was won by coach Adam. All of our coaches do a wonderful job each day inspiring and educating the next generation.

As always…

Thank you for taking the time to read our news page, we hope you found it useful.
