Looking back at a wet and wild week
Posted on by SteveI think it would be safe to say that our October Holiday & Adventure Camps were definitely wet and wild!
Even though the weather seemed to be against us, we still had a super couple of weeks.
Our ‘Soccer & Multi-Sport’ Holiday Camps again ran really well. Disley was the first Camp to get started due to Cheshire having it’s half-term the week before Derbyshire. Again everyone who attended our Disley Camp had a wicked time and as always each day was action packed with sports and wacky competitions.
As usual, our Glossop and Chapel Camps were a huge success with many children participating through the week. “It was great to know everyone enjoyed the week, and that everyone tried very hard in our daily wacky competitions” said coach Antony.
Despite the weather being pretty unsettled throughout the week, many activities were played outside. However, each Holiday Camp venue has great indoor space, and various fun games and activities were played inside. This included our ‘Halloween’ fancy dress DISCO, which as you can imagine was spookily entertaining!!!
Unfortunately for our Adventure Campers, sometimes there’s nowhere to run from the bad weather! Having said that, with fantastic activities and the correct clothing, it was a cracking ‘wet and wild’ week! To see pictures from our Adventure Camp, please click here.
Finally, pictured below is our Friday ‘Rock Climbing & Abseiling’ group from our Adventure Camp.
