Chris to conquer Everest

Posted on by Steve

We would like to wish Chris from the Hollowford Centre the best of luck in his quest to summit Mount Everest.

Chris is a regular instructor for PAS when we team up for our Adventure Camp days, and although we will miss him over the Easter and Whit periods, he will be away and set to achieve one of life’s biggest tests. Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the world and stands 29,029 feet above sea level, which is substantially higher than the 2,087 feet of Kinder Scout in Derbyshire.

Chris set out on his mammoth adventure last week and will be in the Himalayas for a few months. After his acclimatisation, he will then hopefully lead a group of climbers to the top of the world.

Chris is planning on keeping us all updated with his progress, and may even send back a few pictures.

Pictured below is Chris with a group of our Adventure Campers and below that, a stunning shot of Mount Everest –
