PAS News for July & August…

Summer Camps 2015 are here!

As you all will be aware many schools finish this coming week and we have a jam packed summer of activities ready to kick off on Monday 27th July!

Our ‘Summer Soccer & Multi-Sport Holiday Camps’ are all about having fun whilst playing sport. Remember that all our camps offer ‘Soccer’ and ‘Multi-Sports’, which means your child/children have the choice to take part in different sports throughout their time on camp. During a typical week, there are 16 different sports on offer, these are… Soccer, Handball, Rugby, Tennis, Cricket, Basketball, Rounders, Uni-Hoc, Volleyball, Netball, Tri-Golf, Soft Archery, Lacrosse, Badminton, American Football, and of course… Dodgeball.

Remember, all Holiday Camps are open to both boys and girls from the age of 4 up to 16. As I have mentioned above, children get the choice to play ‘Soccer’ or Multi-Sports’, and from there they are split into age appropriate groups. This is essential for development, health and safety, plus our coaches can be age appropriate with the games they teach.

We have lots of added extras on our Holiday Camps too, these include, Wacky Competitions, Team Games, The Speed Cage Challenge, PAS Man visits, Dodgeball Knockout, The Summer Skills Challenge, plus it’s back… ‘Soak The Coach’!

As usual, we want your child/children to be a part of it, so turn up, book online or contact the office for more details. So you can see exactly what we are up to this summer, I have set out our ‘week by week’ programme below…

And the winner is…

As some of you may know, we ran a competition to design our ‘Summer 2015 after school club t-shirt’. We had well over 100 entries and every entry was unique and overwhelming to receive. To select our winner, each coach picked their best entry, and then from there a top ten was selected by all the coaches. Then Mark and myself choose the top three and after that we had to pick the winner…

The winner was George C, age 6, from Adlington Primary School. His simple, yet effective design was printed on over 1000 t-shirts and is currently being worn in schools around Derbyshire, Cheshire and Tameside! Well done once again to George C, and a massive thank you to all that entered. To read more about this story and see all the t-shirt designs, please click on the links below –

Well Done Kids

Finally, all our coaches want to say a massive ‘well done’ to all the children who have taken part in our after school club programme this summer term. It has been yet another record breaking term with participating numbers being higher than ever before! It’s great to know so many children are taking advantage of the activities we have on offer. More and more children taking part in sport can only be a good thing and hopefully a taking part with PAS, enjoying themselves, will encourage them to stay involved with sport for many years to come.

We do like to reward everyone for being involved at our after school clubs, with a variety of gifts and prizes up for grab. To read more about this, please click on the link below –

As always, thank you for taking the time to read our news page, we hope you found it useful.
