PAS News for March…

So far March has been a brilliant, yet very busy, month at PAS. There are lots of new developments and new ideas which are on the horizon. Here’s what we have coming soon at PAS…

Extra ‘Soccer & Multi-Sport’ FUN DAY at St. Luke’s Primary School tomorrow! With a number of schools on strike, we have quickly added an extra fun day running from 9.00am until 3.30pm. The day will be based on our usual Holiday Camp theme, and will include 6 sports throughout the day. As usual, boys and girls from the age of 4 and upwards are welcome. As this activity was only announced yesterday, there is no pre-booking available, simple turn up and register with our head coach, Nathan. Click here to find out more.

This week also sees many after school clubs for this term coming to an end. It’s been a cracking term with new sports being introduced, and the focus being on the World Cup and Commonwealth has been very interesting. Clubs which don’t finish this week will finish next week, and hopefully everyone is looking forward to their Easter gifts and the possibility of winning one of the main prizes. Good luck to all and well done for this term!

This weekend sees the start of PAS teaming up with Village Greens in Charlesworth. The new owners, Rod and Kim, have very kindly sponsored our Weekend Clubs and will be providing fresh fruit each weekend to our budding participants. So come along either to our Saturday or Sunday Weekend Clubs. These run at St. Margaret’s Primary School, from 10.00am until 12.00pm and each week there are 2 different multi-sports to choose from, as well as different soccer activities also. Anyone from the age of 4 and upwards can come and join in the fun, plus it’s only £3.50 per session. Not only will Village Greens be providing fresh fruit each weekend, they will also sponsor our ‘Player of the Month’ competition. Should you win this award, you will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend at the shop in Charlesworth! Click here to read more about this fabulous fruity connection.

Not long now until the Easter break… We have quite a lot going on over this period, including 5 ‘Soccer & Multi-Sport’ Holiday Camps and our 3 day residential Adventure Camp. Here’s the programme in more detail –

  • Monday 7th April until Friday 11th April @ Disley
  • Monday 14th April until Thursday 17th April @ Glossop & Chapel
  • Adventure Camp – Tuesday 15th April until Thursday 17th April
  • Tuesday 22nd April until Friday 25th April @ Glossop & Buxton

As usual, our Disley Camp is running from Disley Primary School, our Glossop Camp will be running from St. Margaret’s Primary School and our Chapel Camp at Chapel-en-le-Frith Primary School. Our Buxton Camp however is running from Fairfield Youth Centre, where we will have the sports hall and grass pitches.

All Holiday Camps run from 9.30am until 3.30pm, are open to both boys and girls aged 4 and upwards, include indoor and outdoor facilities and start from just £8.00 for a half day or £15 for a full day, plus we operate an early drop off from 8.45am. Additionally, if you book ANY 4 days you receive a FREE football.

We currently have 3 spaces left on our residential Adventure Camp. The camp will be a super experience and one to remember for many years to come. We have a cracking programme of activities lined up, with each day different and more exciting than the last. Click on the link below for more information – Click here to view our Adventure Camp page.

On a separate note, we would like to congratulate Aaron Hendley. Aaron was our lucky winner, in winning the Manchester United Champions League tickets. We had over 800 children’s names in the raffle and Aaron was the winner! Aaron took his dad to watch United beat Olympiacos 3-0 at Old Trafford and progress to the next round. They will play Bayern Munich in the last 8 of the Champions League.

Just a reminder, our Monday Night Elite Club is now open to children up to the age of 16. We previously had an age limit of 8 at this club, but as many children wanted to carry on attending after they reached the age of 8, we decided to open up the club, and eventually we shall have several specific age groups. Click here to find out more about this Club.

Finally, thank you to all those who participated this weekend at one of our Weekend Clubs. As it was the Sport Relief weekend, all £135.50 of takings have been donated to the charity. Thank you for supporting us, and supporting Sport Relief!

As always, thank you for taking the time to read our news page, we hope you found it useful.
